January Jones claims ‘X-Men: First Class’ is behind schedule

Actress jokes that Matthew Vaughn needs to 'edit in three days'

X-Men: First Class actress January Jones has said that director Matthew Vaughn is rushing to finish the superhero movie after filming overran.

Jones plays mutant telepath Emma Frost in the reboot, which also features James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender. The film is due to be released on June 3.

The Mad Men star is quoted by Screenrant.com as saying: “Poor Matthew Vaughn is going to have to edit it in three days.”

She added: “I think it was unrealistic for them to think they were going to make such a huge movie in whatever we had – two months or something. Of course we went over [the schedule]… we’re almost done. The fact [that] we’ve had to push the wrap date but they haven’t moved the release date is really interesting to me.”

As well as producing Guy Ritchie movies Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, Vaughn has directed Layer Cake, Stardust and Kick-Ass.
