John Boyega could be joining the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther

He'd be joining Lupita Nyong'o and Michael B. Jordan

Star Wars’ John Boyega could be joining an already star-studded cast in the upcoming Marvel movie Black Panther.

The film has already snapped up Lupita Nyong’o who has been confirmed as Black Panther’s love interest, with Creed star Michael B. Jordan rumoured to be taking on the role of the villain.

According to Heroic Hollywood, Boyega is currently in talks to take on a role in the film, with his role yet to be confirmed. Black Panther is set to be directed by Creed and Fruitvale Station director Ryan Cooglar.

Chadwick Boseman first made an appearance as the Black Panther in the recent Captain America: Civil War, with a standalone movie set for release in 2017.

Commenting on the impact of Civil War, director Joe Russo said, “There will be a long lasting fallout from the events of this movie. It will significantly alter the psychology of the Marvel Cinematic Universe moving forward.

John Boyega recently hinted that the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII will be darker than last year’s smash hit Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Speaking of director Rian Johnson, he said: “Rian’s great. It’s a different take, darker, bigger. Someone will say: ‘How do you get bigger than ‘Force Awakens?’ But it’s crazy.”
