Josh Brolin says no to ‘Goonies II’

Actor quashes sequel rumours

Josh Brolin has declared that there are no plans to make a sequel of the 1985 film The Goonies.

Speaking to Extratv, Brolin confirmed that, while a script does exist, there are no plans to get the film produced.

“I saw Steven Spielberg on the street about a month and a half ago and I asked the reality,” he explained. “I hear there is a script, yes, but there’s no talk about doing a Goonies sequel at this very moment.”

The original film, about a group of kids searching for lost treasure, also starred The Lord Of The Rings actor Sean Astin.
