Justin Bieber investigated by police after allegedly egging neighbour’s home

Los Angeles police say the popstar has been named as a suspect in a vandalism and assault case

Justin Bieber is being investigated by police after he was accused of throwing eggs at his neighbour’s house.

Bieber is accused of egging the property in Los Angeles while his neighbour and neighbour’s daughter were on the balcony filming him.

According to the BBC, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore said the singer has been named as a suspect in a crime report of vandalism and assault.

Police also claim that Bieber will not not speak to the police. “Mr Bieber doesn’t tend to ever want to talk to us. When we knock on the door, he doesn’t answer,” he said.

“Once again, which I have done numerous times, I encourage Mr. Bieber, whether it be with an attorney or not, to come and talk to us,” he added.

At the end of last year (December 2013), Bieber’s representatives were forced to deny reports that the singer may be retiring after he tweeted to his fans: “My beloved beliebers I’m officially retiring.”

“Regarding his recent tweeting about his ‘retirement’ Justin felt that this was the best way to respond to the latest in a long line of inaccurate or wildly exaggerated media reports about him,” his representative Allison Kaye said. “He chose to channel his frustration into playing along with this baseless rumor and even used ‘beloved’ to tip off his core fans that it wasn’t real.”
