Kenneth Branagh’s ‘Thor’ to be unveiled at London’s Kapow Comic Con

More names are being added to Mark Millar's fan convention

Exclusive scenes from Kenneth Branagh‘s Thor are set to be shown at next week’s Kapow Comic Con in London.

The event, organised by Kick-Ass creator Mark Millar, is being billed as a UK equivalent to the event in San Diego, a major hub for the movie and TV industries.

Organisers have today announced that the new Marvel blockbuster, directed by Branagh, will be previewed next Saturday (April 9), with star appearances from Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor and Tom Hiddleston who plays the villain Loki.

Released in the UK on April 27, Thor is the latest movie adaptation from the Marvel universe. Creator Stan Lee said of the character: “How do you make someone stronger than the strongest person? It finally came to me. Don’t make him human. Make him a God.”

More movie announcements are expected in the coming days. Already confirmed are a superhero fan quiz hosted by Jonathan Ross, a session hosted by Frankie Boyle and panel sessions with the casts and crews of TV shows Being Human, Misfits and Skins.

Tickets are still available for the event, which takes place next weekend (April 8-9) at London‘s Islington Business Design Centre. For more information visit
