Elly Jackson plays raft of new material at Danforth Music Hall in Toronto

La Roux debuted two new songs in a set packed with fresh material as her North American tour arrived in Toronto earlier this week (June 1). Click above to watch ‘Cruel Sexuality’ now.

Elly Jackson played a set filled with new material, including the previously unheard ‘Cruel Sexuality’ and ‘Kiss And Not Tell.’ She also performed ‘Let Me Down Gently’ and ‘Uptight Downtown’, both of which have been released in the run up to the release of the second La Roux album, during the gig at Danforth Music Hall.

The album, which has been five years in the making, is titled ‘Trouble In Paradise’ and will be released on July 7. During the course of recording the LP, Jackson separated from musical partner Ben Langmaid, and recently told NME that “there wasn’t a great deal of understanding” between them when it came to making new music.
