A new image has been released from ‘The League Of Gentlemen’ revival

You'll never leave...

A new image has been released from the forthcoming return of The League of Gentlemen, and it’s looking typically chaotic.

The show, which follows the lives of residents in the bizarre village of Royston Vasey, originally aired on BBC 2 between 1999 and 2002, before a full-length film was released in 2005.

Now, the BBC has released a new image to tease the show’s return after a revival for two special episodes was announced earlier this year.

In the photo, murderous couple Edward and Tubbs are seen standing amid a crowd of protestors holding placards emblazoned with their infamous catchphrase ‘We Are Local People’.

It’s yet to be revealed when the two specials will air, but it has been suggested that they could make their debut over Christmas after filming wrapped last month.

The episodes will premiere in York and Hull next month as part of a new BBC initiative that will see anticipated shows being shown at special screenings in the North of England.

Ahead of its premiere on BBC One on December 25, the Doctor Who Christmas special will be shown on big screens in venues across the north as part of the BBC’s preview of its Christmas Day schedule.
