Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams has aired doubts over the show’s plans to film multiple endings to the season 8 finale. Check out the clip below.
Last year, it was reported that the hit show would shoot various endings to prevent any unauthorised leaks.
HBO’s President of Programming Casey Bloys said: “I know in Game Of Thrones, the ending, they’re going to shoot multiple versions so that nobody really know what happens.”
Now, Maisie Williams has said that she isn’t sure whether the idea is entirely realistic.
“I heard this and I thought, ‘I don’t think we’ve got the budget to shoot lots of different endings,’” she told Jimmy Kimmel, while appearing on his US chat show.
The actress quashed the claims from Bloys while seemingly taking aim at Trump, adding: “But as we know, sometimes Presidents don’t always tell the truth.”
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau – who portrays Jaime Lannister – had previously called the multiple ending idea “stupid”.
“You’re not going to waste $100,000 a day to shoot something you’re not going to use,” he told Marie Claire last year. “It’s not going to happen.”
Meanwhile, Maisie Williams recently responded to the call for a potential GoT spin-off for her character, Arya Stark. “I don’t know!” she told NME. “It depends how my career is after this, how much fun I have with other things.”
There are said to be four spin-off projects in the works, while the eighth and final season of Game Of Thrones is set to be broadcast next year.
