Maisie Williams marks end of ‘Game Of Thrones’ filming with bloody photo

The actor has filmed her final scenes as Arya Stark

Maisie Williams has marked the end of her time filming Game Of Thrones with a bloody photo.

The final season of the hit HBO show is in the last stages of filming at present. The eighth and final season will consist of six episodes, which will air in 2019.

Taking to Instagram, Williams posted a photo featuring a pair of white trainers splattered with blood. “goodbye belfast,” she captioned it. “goodbye arya. goodbye game of thrones. what a joy I’ve had. here’s to the adventures to come.”

The actor included the hashtags “#lastwomanstanding”, “#barely”, “#immasleepforthenextfouryears”, and “#justkiddingidontsleep” on the photo. As Consequence Of Sound points out, the former might seem like a potential spoiler, but likely refers to Williams being one of the last members of cast to wrap filming.

Meanwhile, Williams’ onscreen sister Sophie Turner recently revealed she regretted revealing her GoT tattoo. The star had a direwolf and the words “the pack survives” inked on her arm and showed of the design on Instagram.

After fans began speculating the phrase hinted at the fate of her character Sansa and the rest of the Starks, Turner told Digital Spy that wasn’t the case. “Definitely that tattoo was probably not a good idea because everyone thought that I’d given away the end,” she said. “But I haven’t. It’s a quote from last season.”
