Mark Wahlberg’s huge demands for ‘All The Money In The World’ reshoots have been revealed

The actor reportedly refused to approve Christopher Plummer

Mark Wahlberg reportedly refused to approve Christopher Plummer as Kevin Spacey’s replacement in ‘All The Money In The World’ unless he was paid over one million dollars for the reshoot.

The actor, who stars as a former CIA operative in the high stakes thriller, reportedly had a co-star approval clause in his contract that allowed him to have the final say on casting.

It also meant that he was able to demand the huge sum after Plummer was announced to replace Kevin Spacey, following allegations of sexual misconduct.

“What he said was, ‘I will not approve Christopher Plummer unless you pay me.’ And that’s how he (expletive) them”, a source told USA Today.

Although Wahlberg is yet to respond to the latest reports, they come after it was reported that Michelle Williams was paid less than $1,000 (£730) for the reshoot.

Leading figures from Hollywood have since reacted to the news, with Judd Apatow damning the situation as “so messed up”.

“This is so messed up that it is almost hard to believe. Almost. This is how this business works. I wonder if the studio or Wahlberg will do something to make the situation less insane”, he wrote.

In contrast, director Ridley Scott had previously claimed that both stars had offered their returning services for free – although it is claimed that he was not aware of the huge pay disparity that existed behind the scenes.

“The whole reshoot was — in normal terms was expensive but not as expensive as you think. Because all of them, everyone did it for nothing,” he told USA Today, revealing that all actors “came in for free” except Plummer who “had to get paid”.
