Marvel deny delays to ‘The Avengers’ filming

Shooting on the superhero ensemble remains on schedule

Marvel have denied that filming on The Avengers has been halted by script leaks.

Rumours have been circulating all week that production on the all-star superhero ensemble film had had to be stopped so leaked scenes could be rewritten. However, a spokeswoman has refuted reports of any trouble on set, with IGN reporting that a simple statement that read: “Filming on The Avengers is on schedule and going well” was released.

Directed by Joss Whedon, the film will unite Robert Downey Jr as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as Hulk, Chris Evans as Captain America and Chris Hemsworth as Thor.

Hemsworth, who is currently starring as the god of thunder in a solo movie of his own, has suggested that any leaked script was likely be an early version. He told the Wall Street Journal: “My start date is still the same. I think it was a pretty old script, though. I got off the plane the other day and I found that out, but I know that script changed a lot, so it’s not the most recent version of it anyway.”
