Miles Kane says he won’t rule out a Last Shadow Puppets reunion

“Never say never”

Miles Kane won’t rule out a Last Shadow Puppets reunion with Alex Turner.

The musician – who recently released his third solo album – said he would “never say never” to another output with fellow musician Alex Turner.

Speaking to The Metro, Kane says his last run of shows with Turner in 2016 were fun and he’s not ruling out returning as the Shadow Puppets again.

Kane said, “The Last Shadow Puppets was good, I had great fun with that.”

When asked whether fans could ever expect another revival, Kane said, “Bring them back? Who knows, yeah! Never say never.”

The musician, who served as front man of The Rascals before branching out with solo material, also said it’s “inevitable” that he would be compared to Alex Turner.

He added: “I used to feel the comparison when I was younger, but I don’t really care now, you know, you think what you think.”

The Last Shadow Puppets released ‘Everything You’ve Come to Expect’ in 2016 and their debut album, ‘The Age of Understatement’, in 2008. Both records reached number 1 in the UK album charts.

Kane, who worked with Lana Del Rey and Jamie T on his latest album ‘Coup de Grace’, recently surprised fans at a gig in Paris by bringing Alex Turner onto the stage.

The pair treated fans to a rendition of The Last Shadow Puppets’ 2008 single ‘Standing Next to Me.’

Kane also recently appeared with Arctic Monkeys on stage in London – helping out on guitar for a rendition of ‘505’ at the Monkey’s huge show at The O2.

Kane is currently promoting ‘Coup De Grace’, his third record as a solo artist. In his three-star review, NME’s Mark Beaumont said that the record is “fitfully inspired” but “isn’t quite the killer blow he hoped for”.

In July, Kane released a brutal video for single ‘Cry On My Guitar’, which featured WWE wrestler Finn Bálor in gruesome hand-to-hand combat.

The single followed on from Lana Del Ray and Jamie T collaboration ‘Loaded’.
