Gorillaz’ Noodle ‘sets up her own OKCupid account’

Apparently the band's guitarist is looking for "people, located anywhere, aged 18-99, for new friends".

Noodle from Gorillaz may have set up her own short-lived OKCupid account.

Spotted by fans on Reddit earlier today (November 2), the dating profile purporting to belong to Noodle included the description “queer, woman, single” who “speaks English and Japanese”.

“Noodle” also said she was looking for “people, located anywhere, aged 18-99, for new friends”.

The profile has since disappeared, perhaps because it was a fake. Alternatively, OKCupid could have removed it because it does not consider Noodle to be a real person.

Fans who believe the profile was set up by a member of the Gorillaz camp have pointed out that it was synced up to Noodle’s Instagram account, which would have meant undergoing a verification process.

Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett’s animated band made their online return in September month across their social media accounts. They have since shared a series of online “stories” helping fans to catch up with the band members, as well as giving several interviews.

However, fans are still waiting for concrete news regarding the band’s new album. Their first album since 2011’s ‘The Fall’ was originally due for release this year, but now looks set to drop next year after animator Hewlett said it was “really fuckin’ special” and “can’t be rushed”.
