Travis Scott and Post Malone to perform at this year’s MTV VMAs

A number of 'Astroworld' cuts will be performed at the NYC event later this month

Travis Scott and Post Malone will perform at this year’s MTV VMAs, it has been announced.

The 2018 ceremony will take place at Radio City Music Hall in New York later this month. Among the leading nominations are Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Cardi B. Also on the list are Drake and Childish Gambino, with both nominated for seven awards. Ariana Grande and Camila Cabello each have five nominations.

As the event edges closer, MTV has confirmed two more acts to appear on the night. Travis Scott – who released his new album ‘Astroworld‘ last week – will take to the stage, along with Post Malone. The latter is up for Artist Of The Year at the event, as well as the Song Of The Year award for ‘rockstar’ [ft. 21 Savage].

According to Rolling Stone, Scott will perform a medley of ‘Astroworld’ material, while Malone will air his unannounced new single from ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys‘.

Travis Scott appeared as a special guest during 30 Seconds To Mars’ performance of ‘Walk on Water’ at the VMAs last year.

The artists join previously announced acts, including Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, and Jennifer Lopez.

2017’s VMAs was the least-watched show in the award ceremony’s history. Hosted by Katy Perry, the televised event was viewed by 5.69 million people over 10 different networks. It marked the fourth year in a row that ratings have dropped.
