The drummer never regains consciousness after the accident...
SCOTT MURRAY, drummer with Australian power-pop punk outfit 28 DAYS, has died from injuries he sustained in a car accident at the weekend.
Murray was hit by a car and critically injured on Sunday (November 18) in Melbourne. He never recovered consciousness and died later the same day.
A brief statement on the band’s website www.28-days.com.au says: “Scott was a unique person and a musician in his own right who was dearly loved by his family and friends and well respected and liked by everyone he came in contact with.
“Words cannot express our feelings at this time as we try to come to terms with such an unexpected and tragic loss. We are all honoured to have known Scott and been able to call him our friend.
“Our hearts and utmost sympathy go out to the Murray family and Scott’s fiancee, Julia.”
No details about the future of the band have been announced yet.
