50 Cent has been telling interviewers that he will be involved with the upcoming Predator sequel.
Although there’s been no confirmation either from the studio, 20th Century Fox, or the director, Shane Black, the rapper has sounded convinced that he’s in line for a role in the fourth film in the franchise.
He told an interviewer on SiriusXM’s Shade 45 channel that he will “be doing some new feature films and stuff like that too. I’ll do Predator”.
Similarly, to a separate interviewer on the 99 Jamz Uncensored station, he said: “I’m working on some new projects. You heard of the movie Predator? I might be a part of that project this summer.”
The film, which has a working title of simply The Predator is the latest sequel to the 1987 action classic Predator which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger as Major Alan ‘Dutch’ Schaefer, who leads a crack team of American special forces soldiers into the South American jungle.
The first film also starred Shane Black, who is helming the fourth installment, which is due out in 2018. Little is known about the project, but insiders have suggested that it is not going to be a reboot, but will instead take the form of a direct sequel. Black is a screenwriter of some renown, having penned Lethal Weapon, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and Iron Man 3.
Schwarzenegger has also hinted that he could reprise his role as Major Schaefer in the new film.
The Predator is currently slated to be released on 2 March 2018.
