GARETH GATES has scored a UK Number One with his charity cover of ‘SPIRIT IN THE SKY’.
The song, the proceeds of which are being donated to Comic Relief, is a brand new entry at the top of the charts, in a week that sees a host of new entries inside the Top Ten, four of which are in the Top Five.
Jennifer Lopez is at Number Two with ‘All I Have’, Delta Goodrem are at Number Three with ‘Born To Try’ and rapper 50 Cent is at Number Four with ‘In Da Club’. All are new entries, pushing last week’s Number One, Christina Aguilera’s ‘Beautiful’ down to Number Five.
