50 Cent has launched his latest video, for ‘9 Shot’, featuring an accompanying short film interspersed with the music.
The video tells the story of his shooting back in 2000, and co-stars Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks, continuing the gradual move back together G-Unit have made since Yayo quit in 2014. The infamous shooting led to 50 spending 13 days in hospital, recovering from wounds in his chest, both legs, arm, hand and left cheek.
In the video recreation, 50 shoots Yayo late one evening, before meeting up with Banks. When Banks discovers 50 shot Yayo, he calls in a hit on 50.
The track is taken from the upcoming album ‘Street King Immortal’, which has gone through several planned incarnations since its original intended release date back in 2011. The 18-track album still has no confirmed launch date, but is expected to feature Lil Wayne, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem and Chris Brown. Dr Dre is involved in the album’s production.

50 Cent filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July, but has since called the move a strategic business decision. The Chapter 11 law essentially grants 50 time to get his finances in order. The bankruptcy came shortly after he was ordered to pay substantial compensation to a woman for leaking sex tapes featuring her online.
50 Cent will play a three-date UK arena tour in November:
Glasgow, SECC (November 4)
Manchester, MEN (6)
Newcastle, Arena (7)
