Time journalist documents R&B star's all too short life...

AALIYAH is the subject of a paperback biography, ‘AALIYAH: MORE THAN A WOMAN’, due to hit bookshops in December.

The 22-year-old R&B star, who died in a plane crash on August 25, is having her life recorded by Time journalist Christopher John Farley. The author has used interviews with the singer and close acquaintances including her high school principal, producers

Timbaland and Jermaine Dupri, and Beyoncé Knowles.

Farley said: “On each album she grew, and hopefully she’ll be a model for other young singers. The way she approached her craft was that she didn’t only do what she thought was going to be hot, but she did the stuff that she thought was going to challenge her and her audience while being interesting and good to listen to.”
