The rapper uploaded a series of images which when viewed as a whole become a unique piece of work
A$AP Rocky lost 100,000 followers over the course of 10 hours as he uploaded a series of images to his Instagram.
The pictures eventually form a piece of art when viewed as a whole but to create it the Harlem rapper had to post tens of blank images to his account, angering fans.
The experiment was done in collaboration with Robert Gallardo, part of Rocky’s internal art direction team, known as AGWE. Gallardo told Complex the project “is modern day fine art, just delivered to you differently because of the times we live in. Social media feeds instead of galleries.”
He also explained: “None of the images you see on his Instagram are there by accident.”
You can see a Vine of the finished art piece below.
