A$AP Rocky has released his first new music since his recent album ‘Testing‘.
The record – the rapper’s third – was released on May 25, and features appearances from Skepta, FKA Twigs, Frank Ocean, Lauryn Hill, and Blood Orange.
Now, Rocky has shared new track ‘Nights Like This’. It was released last night (June 15) as part of Lord Fubu’s ‘First Name Lord, Last Name Fubu’ beat tape. Listen to it below now.
Before ‘Testing’ was released, the Harlem rapper revealed that he had been hanging out with some of his “favourite” people while recording in Berlin, including MGMT, Dave Chapelle, and Kanye West. He added that he and West had worked on “a lot of music” while in Germany.
“Kanye turned the hotel we were staying at into a Yeezy compound,” he said. “He was designing sneakers in one suite, making music in one suite, and I was making music in my suite. It was crazy. We shut down the whole hotel.”
Rocky also worked with Lana Del Rey and Tame Impala on the new album, but those tracks failed to make the cut.
He launched the album with a special last minute show in New York on May 24. After announcing the free show on his Twitter page, fans headed down to the 1,000-capacity Sony Hall in Midtown Manhattan where Rocky previewed a large chunk of the record and was joined on stage by Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes. Meanwhile, earlier this year, Rocky revealed he had ambitions to work with Morrissey on “some emo, real, retro-infusion, motherfuckin’ 2018 shit.”
