ABBA’s Bjorn: ‘I can’t remember singing ‘Waterloo’ at Eurovision’

Swedish pop star says his memory is kaput

ABBA‘s Bjorn Ulvaeus has revealed that his memory is so bad he can’t recall much of his career in the Swedish pop sensations – including their 1974 Eurovision Song Contest win.

ABBA won the contest, held in Brighton, with their hit ‘Waterloo’. See video footage of the performance by clicking on the video below.

Despite the win being a huge milestone in his career, Ulvaeus told the Daily Mirror he has no recollection of it ever taking place.

“It’s unbelievable but I do not remember standing on the stage,” he said. “It’s like I was not even there. People ask me if I am going to write my memoirs but, even if I wanted to, I would not be able.”

Members of ABBA recently denied rumours of a reunion, saying they would “never” reform.
