Ace Frehley hits back at Gene Simmons as ‘just an asshole and a sex addict’

"The shit will hit the fan"

Former Kiss guitarist Ace Frehley has posted an incendiary response to Gene Simmons’ comments about him rejoining the band for a farewell tour.

A Guitar World interview published this month hears Kiss founders Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley say that they’re open to the idea of former bandmates Frehley and drummer Peter Criss playing with them live but this wouldn’t mean they are rejoining the band. “Would we welcome Ace or Peter to jump up onstage for a song or two? Of course”, Simmons said after declaring the pair are “never going to be in Kiss again”.

Frehley responded to Simmons’ comments with a Facebook post shared yesterday (January 29).

In a post titled ‘The Gloves Are Off’, he accused Simmons of groping and propositioning his wife. He also challenges Simmons’ claims that he was fired from Kiss (“I quit twice…of my own free will”).

“The icing on the cake was when you groped my wife and propositioned her in Los Angeles at the Capitol Records building behind my back, when I was trying to help you out at one of your “Vault Experiences” which I only found out about several weeks later…she was planning on pursuing a suit against you, but I told her to call it off!!!” part of the post reads.

He also wrote: “I’ve tried to be nice and friendly by inviting you and Paul to perform on my past albums for One Music, give each of you guys one of my prized Gibson Les Paul 59’ models, but today’s comments have made me realize you’re just an asshole and a sex addict who’s being sued by multiple Women, and you’re just trying to sweep it all under the carpet!”

Elsewhere, Frehley claimed that Simmons and Stanley are “control freaks” and “untrustworthy”, after writing that he quit the band twice of his own accord.

He ended message with a threat that he will make more accusations if he doesn’t receive a “heartfelt apology” nor “an offer to give me my old job back.”

Kiss’ ‘End of the Road’ tour kicks-off this Thursday, January 31 in Vancouver B.C. at Rogers Arena. The tour then reaches the UK in July.
