Singer also expresses her admiration for former contestant Ella Henderson
Adele has stated that she would be interesting in duetting with one of the finalists of this year’s X Factor, but only if the contestant is good enough.
ITV’s The X Factor is currently in its 12th series, with the live final set to be held in December.
Every year, each finalist performs a duet with an established star during the final show. Last year saw Ed Sheeran, Labrinth and former contestant Ella Henderson appearing alongside finalists.
Now, speaking on Kiss FM, Adele said: “It would have to depend on who’s in the final. It depends who’s in it. If they’re rubbish, then no, I won’t.”
“There was Ella Henderson [who finished sixth in the 2012 series], I used to like. But she didn’t make it at the time. I mean, I was pregnant so I wouldn’t have done it. But like, if she was in it this year and she was in the final, I would probably do it with her.”
The Kiss FM interview was the latest in a number of press outings for Adele since the announcement of her new album.
Yesterday, Adele gave her first big feature interview in three years to i-D Magazine. See the best quotes from the interview here.
Adele’s new album ’25’ is set to be released on November 20, following on from 2011’s massive selling ’21’.
The singer’s new single ‘Hello’ is on course to become fastest-selling track of 2015 in the UK. Watch its video beneath.
The comeback single was released last Friday (October 23). The song has already hit the top spot in 102 countries around the world and broken a Vevo record.
