Adele says she is open to live ‘X Factor’ duet if finalist is ‘not rubbish’

Singer also expresses her admiration for former contestant Ella Henderson

Adele has stated that she would be interesting in duetting with one of the finalists of this year’s X Factor, but only if the contestant is good enough.

ITV’s The X Factor is currently in its 12th series, with the live final set to be held in December.

Every year, each finalist performs a duet with an established star during the final show. Last year saw Ed Sheeran, Labrinth and former contestant Ella Henderson appearing alongside finalists.

Now, speaking on Kiss FM, Adele said: “It would have to depend on who’s in the final. It depends who’s in it. If they’re rubbish, then no, I won’t.”

“There was Ella Henderson [who finished sixth in the 2012 series], I used to like. But she didn’t make it at the time. I mean, I was pregnant so I wouldn’t have done it. But like, if she was in it this year and she was in the final, I would probably do it with her.”
