Elton John has reportedly told the 'Skyfall' singer to accept an offer to perform in the Sin City
Adele has reportedly been offered a huge multi-million pound Las Vegas residency deal.
The ‘Skyfall’ singer would be following in the footsteps of Elvis Presley, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Celine Dion and, most recently, Britney Spears if she decided to accept the alleged $40 million offer.
According to a Sun on Sunday source, another former Las Vegas performer, Elton John, has been advising her to accept the life-changing deal. “Stacks of Las Vegas casinos are desperate to get Adele on billboards as a headliner in this town,” the insider said.
They added: “The highest figure being touted is $40 million but it could be even higher. Elton’s been a really good friend to her and they’ve been Skypeing to share parental advice. ‘But he is a businessman too, and has been telling Adele Vegas residency could secure a really good future for her family.”
Meanwhile, Adele has reportedly been asked to play Dusty Springfield in a forthcoming film about the life of the late soul singer. According to the Daily Star, Adele is attached to star in the biopic, which will be set in the late ’60s when Springfield travelled to America to record her classic album ‘Dusty In Memphis’.
The film is said to be “in the early stages of development” but shooting could start as soon as early next year (2014). The script is being written by David Stenn, who is known for his work on Boardwalk Empire and The L Word.
