Adele’s Glastonbury headline set stopped to help ill fan out of crowd

Her production manager had to interrupt her set to make an announcement to the crowd

Adele‘s Glastonbury headline set had to be stopped earlier for a fan who had been taken ill to be taken out of the crowd.

The singer had just invited her second fan of the night up to the Pyramid Stage when her production manager came on stage and took the mic.

“Can we make a path? There’s somebody who’s very ill out in the audience that we need to get out,” he explained.

“I hope they’re okay,” Adele said. “They’ve probably been moshing too hard to one of my songs or something.”

After talking to the audience for a short while, she said: “Let me know when that path’s been done, I don’t want to start a riot.”

She then continued her set with ‘Set Fire To The Rain’.

NME have asked Adele and Glastonbury’s spokespeople for further comment.
