Adele’s new album inspired by pregnancy?

'It will be lighter than her last ode to break-up,' says source

Adele‘s new album has been inspired by her pregnancy, according to reports.

The Tottenham soul sensation’s last LP, the hugely successul ’21’, was heavily influenced by her ex-boyfriend and lost love, but sources close to the singer have claimed that her next record will be “lighter” due to her excitement at expecting her first child.

Speaking to Us magazine, an insider said:

It will be lighter than her last ode to break-up. The pregnancy has had a big impact on her songwriting. She is lying low and focusing on becoming a mom. The baby is healthy and she’s so excited.

Earlier this week, it was rumoured that Adele had visited Abbey Road Studios to record a song for the latest James Bond film, Skyfall. The singer, who has now sold over 22 million copies of her second studio album ’21’ worldwide, revealed that she and her boyfriend Simon Konecki were expecting their first child in June of this year.

She broke the news on her official website, writing: “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx.”

Last month, meanwhile, there were reports that she and Konecki had married in secret after she was spotted wearing a gold wedding band on her ring finger, but she later dismissed rumours that they had tied the knot.
