Adele: ‘I have no desire to be the face of a major brand’

Singer speaks out after gracing the cover of Vogue magazine

Adele has said she has no desire to be the face of a major brand after appearing on the cover of Vogue magazine.

The singer appears on the front of the UK October edition of the mag wearing a Burberry lace dress. Despite appearing in the fashion mag, which has in the past seen the likes of Madonna, Kate Moss, Beyonce and Rihanna gracing the front cover, the singer said she has no long-term plans to front any major products.

She told the magazine:

I don’t want to see me plastered everywhere. If they offered me £10 million, I’d be like fuck off. Besides if I was going to be the face of anything it should be the face of full-fat [regular] coke.

Earlier this year Duffy was criticised for appearing in a Diet Coke advert for riding a bike without a safety helmet.

Meanwhile, Adele was recently booed onstage after revealing her plans for an arena tour next year, despite previously saying that she would never do one.

“Too many people want to see my shows,” she said. “This is the last time you’ll catch me at a venue like this. These will be my last theatre dates as I’m moving on to arenas. I’ll be at the O2 [Arena] in February.”
