James Bay won his second ever Brit for British Male Solo Artist, while Coldplay beat the likes of One Direction and Blur to be named British Group, with Chris Martin dedicating their win to those musicians in refugee camps.

It wasn’t just about us Brits, with Tame Impala being named International Group, Justin Bieber picking up the International Male accolade and Bjork taking home the International Female award.
You can see the full list of winners below. Coldplay were the first performers of the night, kicking off proceedings with a colourful rendition of ‘Hymn For The Weekend’.

Bieber welcomed James Bay to the stage to give him a hand with his No.1 hit single ‘Love Yourself’, before breaking out into a fiery version of ‘Sorry’.
Rihanna performed a medley of ‘Anti’ tracks ‘Consideration’ and her currently single ‘Work’ – complete with a cameo from Drake and lots of twerking.
The night also saw performances from Jess Glynne, James Bay, Little Mix and The Weeknd, while Adele closed the show with ‘When We Were Young’.

Talking points included Adele showing her support for Kesha, Tim Peake presenting the Global Success award from the International Space Station and Lorde’s tribute of ‘Life On Mars’ to David Bowie.
