Adele to play intimate gig ahead of performance at The Grammys

However, only her most loyal fans will be able to get tickets

Adele has confirmed plans to play an intimate concert in the US before taking to the stage at the Grammy Awards.

The singer, who is due to perform at the ceremony on Monday (February 15), will give 1, 580 of her most loyal fans the chance to see her at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles on Friday, February 12.

However, only members of her fan club will be in with a chance to catch Adele in such an intimate setting, with a press release confirming: “Tickets for this show are being offered to existing California area fans registered with”

The special one-off concert will see Adele play to just a tenth of the crowd who will be in attendance at the Staples Centre for the 58th annual Grammy Awards, Billboard reports.


As well as Adele, the likes of Rihanna, Taylor Swift and The Weeknd will also hit the stage at the ceremony, while Justin Bieber is also set to perform with Diplo and Skrillex.

Kendrick Lamar leads the list of nomimees for 2016 and will compete for 11 awards at this year’s event.

The rapper, whose album ‘To Pimp A Butterfly’ was voted Number Two in NME’s Albums Of The Year poll for 2015, is up for album of the year and song of the year for ‘Alright’.

Swift is nominated for seven Grammys, while Drake – who will not perform at the show – has scored five nominations including best rap album.

Hosted by LL Cool J, the 58th Grammy Awards will air live from L.A. on February 15 at 8 p.m. ET.
