Adele celebrates end of 2016 world tour: “I bloody smashed it”

The singer played 107 shows in 10 months, including a headline slot at Glastonbury

Adele has celebrated the end of her 10-month world tour, proclaiming “I bloody smashed it, even I do say so myself.”

The Tottenham singer embarked on the global jaunt back in February, opening the extensive tour at Belfast’s SSE Arena on February 29. The tour, in support of her third album ’25’, isn’t quite over, with dates penned in for February and March next year in both Australia and New Zealand.

Taking to Instagram after her 107th show in 10 months in Phoenix, AZ, Adele praised her fans for being “so beautiful, loving and engaged,” as well as mentioning the support of her family – “[who] made it easy for me to do.”

The global success of the ’25’ tour helped Adele be named recently as Britain’s “richest celebrity under 30” in a list compiled by Heat magazine.

’25’ went double platinum last month, selling over 3.1 million copies to date. The world tour, meanwhile, has brought in an estimated £112 million at the box office over the past 10 months.
