More names for Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals

Albert Hammond Jr leads a new music charge on the Carling Stage

Albert Hammond Jr, Hot Hot Heat and The Hold Steady have been announced as the latest batch of headliners for the Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals.

The three acts will each headline the Carling Stage at each site, topping diverse bills that celebrate the hottest new music around.

Strokes man Albert Hammond Jr plays Reading on Friday August 24 and Leeds on Saturday August 25. Also appearing are Patrick Wolf, Jack Penate, Cajun Dance Party, Reverend and the Makers, 1990s, Alberta Cross, Frank Turner, Blood Red Shoes, Manchester Orchestra, Turbofruits, Ripchord and Bombay Bicycle Club.


Returning Canadian art-rockers Hot Hot Heat play Reading on Saturday August 25 and Leeds on Sunday August 25. Plus throughout the day you can catch The Academy Is, Battles, Silversun Pickups, Shiny Toy Guns, Tokyo Police Club, Cobra Starship, Foals, Director, Kids In Glass Houses, Lostalone, Eisley and Pete and the Pirates.

Finally, Sunday 26 August in Reading and Friday 24 August in Leeds sees The Hold Steady lead a bill that also features Peter, Bjorn and John, Seasick Steve, Charlotte Hatherley, Kate Nash, Little Ones, Kubichek, Operator Please, I Was A Cub Scout and Stalkers.

The Carling Weekend: Reading And Leeds Festivals are headlined by The Smashing Pumpkins, Razorlight and Red Hot Chili Peppers.
