Punk band shelve tour plans after singer Matt Skiba suffers a broken foot
Alkaline Trio have been forced to postpone their UK tour, which was due to begin on Sunday (November 6).
The punk trio have been forced to shelve the dates after frontman Matt Skiba broke his foot during a motorcycle accident last week. Skiba suffered the injury when his foot was run over by another motorcycle and he has been advised that he cannot place any weight on his injured foot.
The band, who were touring in support of their new, semi-acoustic album ‘Damnesia’, had been due to play 10 dates across November, but will now reschedule them for some time in 2012.
Skiba tweeted news of his injury, writing:
I can’t actually walk on/put weight on it [his broken foot] for several weeks. Our UK dates will be made up ASAP. My sincerest apologies to all our fans in the UK and in Germany. Once I’m healed we’ll be back to play for you guys as soon as we can.
