The sisters will be doin' it for themselves - they're gonna manage themselves too...

NATALIE and NICOLE APPLETON are managing themselves as they plan their new career as a duo, NME.COM can reveal.

The Appletons’ decision to go it alone may have been influenced by their falling-out with former manager John Benson. He was granted a £1 million out of court settlement last year after he was sacked as manager of All Saints.

The Appleton sisters have also decided not to recruit a host of famous songwriters to help with their new material, instead opting to work with an unknown musician, Gareth Young. It is understood that they considered ex-New Radicals frontman Gregg Alexander, who has written songs for Ronan Keating, unsuitable.

All Saints‘ demise came earlier this year. A UK tour was cancelled and an official announcement said the group had been put “on ice”.

The news followed months of internal disagreements between the Appletons and the other band members, Mel Blatt and Shaznay Lewis.

According to a report in The Mirror, the Appletons’ first single will be ‘Blow My Mind’. NME.COM can also reveal the name of the sisters’ new project – after much deliberation, the girls will work under the name ‘Nicole & Natalie Appleton’.
