ALL SAINTS’ forthcoming UK tour WILL go ahead – but it could be the girl group’s last.
A spokesperson told NME.COM this afternoon: “There has been no crisis meeting, not that the label (London records) are aware of, and this morning they said they were totally committed to the tour, and are financially committed to doing it together.”
When asked if it would be their last tour, he said: “That is always a possibility. They will certainly be breaking for Nicole (Appleton, who is pregnant to Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher) to have the baby, and Mel [Blatt] has voiced doubts before. But they will definitely undertake the tour as planned, which would seem to indicate that they have not split and have no plans to do so.”
Meanwhile, he said their new single ‘All Hooked Up’ released next Monday (January 15) through London, is expected to go straight to Number One. It was written by Shaznay Lewis and Karl ‘K-Gee’ Gordon.
The video for the single, which is directed by Douglas Avery, sees the girls rooting out men hiding in their motel rooms, and chucking them through windows, walls and closed doors. Filmed over two days in London, no special effects were used and the stunts were all painstakingly choreographed.
The dates are as follows:
Manchester Apollo (May 6)
Glasgow Clyde Auditorium (10)
Aberdeen E&CC (12)
Edinburgh Playhouse (13)
Sheffield City Hall (15)
Plymouth Pavilions (18)
Brighton Centre (19)
