Alt-J announce second Manchester gig after first sells out

Band's September live dates prove popular with Alexandra Palace gig also selling out

Alt-J have announced details of a second live date in Manchester later this year after the first one sold out earlier today.

The band’s dates in both Manchester (Apollo, September 19) and London (Alexandra Palace, September 24) both sold out after going on sale this morning (June 13). A second Manchester date will now take place on September 20. Tickets are available now. See below for details.

The band will premiere their new single ‘Hunger Of The Pine’ on next Wednesday (June 18). The song is the first to be lifted from their forthcoming second album, ‘This Is All Yours’, thefollow-up to their Mercury Prize-winning debut record, ‘An Awesome Wave’. The album will be released on September 22.

The LP will be the band’s first release since the departure of band member Gwil Sainsbury, who announced he was leaving the group earlier this year.
