And School Of Seven Bells win over packed house
Amazing Baby previewed several new songs set to appear on their forthcoming debut album during their set at South By Southwest today (March 19).
The Brooklyn band worked up a sweat during their raucous performance at the Fader Fort, which also included songs from their recent EP such as the crowd-pleasing ‘Pump Your Breaks’. The hotly tipped band drew a sizeable crowd to the large venue.
Amazing Baby concluded their set with an energetic finale that saw frontman Will Roan leaping on the drums and skidding across the floor.
Earlier in the day, School Of Seven Bells delivered a strong set at the Rhapsody party at the Mohawk. The trio, also from Brooklyn, which features former Secret Machines guitarist Benjamin Curtis and twin sisters Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, appeared a bit disconcerted to be performing during daylight hours.
“This is weird to be performing during the day, I’m not used to seeing everyone,” joked Deheza. However, the band’s lush sound and two-part harmonies won over the packed audience, who braved the sweltering sun to catch a glimpse of the band.
