Tribute clip posted online for late singer's track
The video for Amy Winehouse‘s new single ‘Our Day Will Come’ has been posted online – scroll down to the bottom of the page and click to watch.
The tribute clip will be used as the official video for the track, which is the lead single for the late singer’s posthumous album ‘Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures’. The song was originally recorded by Winehouse in 2002, but has not been previously released.
Yesterday (November 18), Winehouse’s producer Salaam Remi claimed that the LP had helped make the star’s family feel better after she passed away. Remi, who also worked on both of Winehouse’s studio albums, that listening to the record had reminded those who were close to the late singer how “gifted and talented she was”.
Remi had previously dismissed fears that the release of the album would be the start of an avalanche of new material by insisting that it would not lead to “a Tupac situation”, making reference to seven posthumous studio albums that have been released since rapper Tupac died in 1996.
‘Amy Winehouse Lioness: Hidden Treasures’ will be released on December 5 and features 12 tracks, including three covers and a number of previously unreleased tracks. You can read an in depth preview of the album, which has been written by NME’s Dan Martin, by visiting NME.COM/blogs.
£1 from each copy of the LP that is sold will be donated to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, the charity set up in the singer’s honour.
