Plans to celebrate Amy Winehouse’s 30th birthday include skydiving mother and Jon Snow gig

Full details of the events taking place to mark what would have been Amy Winehouse‘s 30th birthday have been revealed, including a parachute jump by the singer’s mother and a musical performance by Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow.

A series of events operating under the name #Amys30 will run in the singer’s hometown of Camden, London, throughout September, to celebrate the late star’s birthday on September 13. Included in the events will be a pop-up shop selling limited edition merchandise on Camden High Street plus an Amy Walking Tour of Camden. The events will be launched with a launch party for the Amy Winehouse: For You I Was A Flame exhibition at Proud Galleries, which will display art and photographs from Winehouse’s life and career.

On Friday, September 13, Winehouse’s birthday, an event named Friday I’m In Love will take place at The Purple Turtle. Channel 4 News presenter Jon Snow will perform on the night, plus singer David McAlmont with more to follow. Amy’s mother Janis, who suffers from multiple sclerosis, will also take part in a parachute jump on September 29 alongside Mayor Of Camden Jonathan Simpson and 30 others.

All money raised by #Amys30 will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, set up by her family following Amy’s passing in 2011. For more information visit
