The news comes despite the fact that Winehouse cancelled this year’s scheduled appearance, citing “exhaustion”, one month before she suffered a drug overdose.
“It would make sense to try and get Amy back,” Ellis told The Daily Record. “She’s even bigger now than when we booked her. Schedules permitting, we’ll try and make that happen again.”
Ellis went on to sympathise with the troubled singer, showing no bitterness following the cancellation.
“She was really upset she couldn’t do it,” he said. “Her manager is a mate of mine and I know he was really gutted when he phoned to say she couldn’t make it.”
