Amy Winehouse reveals truth behind gig no-shows

Tooth is out over cancellations

Amy Winehouse has revealed the reason she cancelled two gigs in London earlier this month (March 8 and 9).

The singer blamed a drink-induced fall for breaking one of her teeth for the no-shows at Shepherd’s Bush Empire.

The star also admitted that she “tore up” her arm in a separate fall, but is on the mend and has had the dental damage repaired.

“I broke my big tooth,” she told The Daily Star. “I had a massive gap in the front of my mouth.”

The singer, currently on tour in the US, also cancelled a further gig at Los Angeles venue Spaceland – also home of Club NME: Los Angeles – last week (March 20).

Meanwhile, the sold-out London dates have been rescheduled for mid-April.
