An awesome reissue of New Order’s classic debut ‘Movement’ is coming in 2019

Featuring previously unreleased tracks and live footage

New Order have announced a special ‘Definitive Edition’ of their debut album, ‘Movement’. Check out the artwork and full tracklist below.

The classic LP was recorded in Stockport following the death of Ian Curtis and the subsequent end of Joy Division. It was originally released in November 1981 via the iconic Factory Records label.

Now, the original album is set to be reissued on vinyl and CD – boasting tonnes of previously unreleased cuts, demos, and live performances. Concert footage from a 1980 show will be included on a DVD.

What’s more, additional 12″ singles that were released around the time of ‘Movement’ – ‘Ceremony’, ‘Everything’s Gone Green’, and ‘Temptation’ – will also be made available in their original sleeves. These songs are scheduled to be released one a week from March 8.
