Trail Of Dead announce new album

The Austin band will release 'IX' in November

…And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead have announced details of their new album.

Titled ‘IX’, the record will be released on November 11 via Superball Music. It will be the Austin band’s ninth studio album and follows 2012’s ‘Lost Songs’.

Consequence Of Sound report that the album was produced by the group’s long-term collaborator Chris “Frenchie” Smith at the Sonic Ranch Studio in Tornillo, Texas.

The quartet have also put out a cryptic statement about the record. It reads: “From the crowded streets of Phnom Penh to the vast empty landscape of West Texas…we have cut through…burned through…and followed through to reach you…From the heat of the desert…to the heat of your city’s sprawling squall…This transmission is here to transport and ruin you. It is the release of your mortal coil…Just let the rain wash it away from the mountains…down to the motherfucking sea…wash it away …blow it all away and check this moment out.”

Trail Of Dead will return to the UK shortly after the album’s release for a short tour. They will play:

Glasgow, Art School (November 14)
Coventry, Kasbah (15)
Manchester, Ruby Lounge (16)
London, Dingwalls (17)
