The 'Party Hard' singer is teaming up with the controversial US public figure
Andrew WK has announced that he will host a new radio show on a network owned by controversial political commentator Glenn Beck.
The ‘Party Hard’ singer will present a weekly two-hour show on Beck’s TheBlaze network, which the right-wing public figure launched in 2011 after leaving Fox News.
“When Glenn asked me to do my own radio show on TheBlaze, I was shocked but excited, as I knew he would allow me the unrestrained freedom to say exactly what I wanted,” WK says in a statement.
“I’m very dedicated to exploring and learning from different people in different places, and always with an open heart. If people never went outside their own box, life would be boring. After all, why would I only want to talk with people who already think exactly like me?”
The show will be called America WK, airing on Saturday afternoons and beginning this weekend (May 2). A press release states that the show will feature “meaning, motivation, mindset, and making dreams come true, all included in a celebration of life itself–and all with a positive and honest outlook”.
Beck added of the news: “My relationship with Andrew W.K. is a perfect example of how two people can come together on what unites us, and become strange bedfellows. He is open minded, honest, loves his fellow man even though he may disagree with him, and is a natural entertainer.”
WK was interviewed by Beck on the network last year, with Beck calling WK “one of the more important voices to unite America”. Watch that interview below.
