Former Lostprophets drummer Ilan Rubin joins Tom DeLonge’s Angels & Airwaves

Ex-Nine Inch Nails sticksman replaces Atom Willard behind the kit

Former Lostprophets and Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin has joined Angels And Airwaves.

Rubin, who has also released two solo albums under the moniker of The New Regime, replaces Atom Willard as the band’s drummer. Willard left the band earlier this year amid rumours that he will be reuniting with his former outfit Rocket From The Crypt.

The band, who feature Blink-182 co-frontman Tom DeLonge in their line-up, will release the second half of their double album ‘Love’ on November 7.

The album, the first half of which was released in 2010, has been released to coincide with the distribution of the band’s feature film, which is also called Love. You can watch a trailer for the album by scrolling down to the bottom of the page and clicking.

Tom DeLonge is currently touring as part of a reunited Blink-182. They released their new album ‘Neighborhoods’ last month and tour the UK next summer.
