Anne-Marie lets loose a Freudian slip live on Capital FM

The popstar was left blushing

Pop sensation Anne-Marie was left blushing after letting loose a Freudian slip live on Capital FM this morning.

The star, who recently told NME she has “a lot to say” on her upcoming debut album, was appearing on the radio show this morning. As part of a word game, she was given five seconds to come up with a body part beginning with ‘p’, and immediately plumped for: “penis”.

She was left laughing and blushing after the incident, which left the presenter Roman Kemp having to apologise to his listeners. “Oops,” she later tweeted.

Check out the incident below.

At the end of last year, Anne-Marie called out Theresa May and Donald Trump on politically-charged new track ‘Dear Mrs Prime Minister’.

The singer-songwriter known for the hits ‘Ciao Adios’ and ‘Rockabye’ with Clean Bandit posted a two-minute video of her performing the song on Twitter.

Anne-Marie begins the song by singing: “Dear Mrs Prime Minister / We’re not one bit similar / So how’re you supposed to know a thing about us?”

“I don’t believe a word you say,” she continues. “And as for Mr President / It’s like World War III / And he don’t give a fuck.”

“So much drama, people dying / Police shooting, children crying / You know? No, you don’t,” Anne-Marie laments, before pledging to fight back with the lyrics: “No, we won’t keep quiet / Nothing’s gonna frighten us.”

Last year, Anne-Marie spoke to NME to voice her support for the #MeToo movement.

“It was very inspiring,” she told NME .”It’s always inspiring when people all come together and be strong as a group. This is why I feel so strongly to put the message to people that we need to stand together in tough times.

“If you keep pushing and get as many people on your side and with you on the journey, then that’s when it really starts to happen and make a change. I always try and make people feel that they are strong enough to say something – anything to anyone – even if it’s a stranger or they’re just writing a tweet if they’re in danger.”
