The Airborne Toxic Event play too
Annuals closed the second night of The Great Escape tonight (May 18).
The band played Club NME‘s residency at Komedia in Brighton.
After forthcoming single ‘Brother’, singer Adam Baker said: “We’ve come all the way from North Carolina to see you guys. Thanks for coming out.”
The band also played ‘Carry Around’, ‘Dry Clothes’ and ‘Bleary Eyed’, which all feature on debut album ‘Be He Me’, out on June 18.
Earlier on Los Angeles band The Airborne Toxic Event played the club and wowed with the audience with their Arcade Fire-style chamber pop, including the tracks ‘Wishing Well’ and ‘The Girls In Their Suits’.
The Great Escape is set to continue tomorrow night (May 19), with coverage, including NME.COM‘s special live blog, coming straight from the south coast.
