A video of Arcade Fire performing ‘Here Comes The Night Time’ in Haiti has been released.

The band played in the Caribbean country in 2014 during their world tour promoting their fourth album ‘Reflektor’. During their stay, they visited the annual carnival in the Sud-Est commune of Jacmel.

The footage shared today by Artists Institute was captured during that trip. You can watch it below, via Pitchfork.

Arcade Fire have strong links with Haiti, with member Régine Chassagne’s parents originating from the country before emigrating to Canada where she was born. A song named after the country featured on their debut album ‘Funeral’.

it was recently reported that Chassagne and bandmate/husband Win Butler were to open a Haitian-themed restaurant in Montreal last summer.

Butler told Canada’s The Globe And Mail: “[The restaurant is] more of an art project. The idea is that it’s a cultural space. The thing that we were really impressed with at Rhum Corner is that it’s this space for Haitian and Caribbean culture and it’s really cool and contemporary.”

Meanwhile, Arcade Fire recently announced their first live dates of 2016.

The band will headline Bilbao BBK in Spain and Lisbon’s NOS Alive in July. They join fellow NOS Alive headliners Radiohead on the bill for the Portugese festival’s 10th birthday celebrations.

These are the only two European festivals Arcade Fire will play in 2016. The band are reported to be working on a new album since last year with the record said to be “30 per cent done” as of last September.
