Win Butler, Regine Chassagne, Will Butler and Marika Anthony-Shaw will attend the University of Texas later this month
Arcade Fire have announced plans to give a lecture on Haiti’s current socio-economic crisis.
Frontman Win Butler, Regine Chassagne, Will Butler and Marika Anthony-Shaw will attend the University of Texas in Austin on March 19 to discuss the need for health care reform and First World aid, reports Rolling Stone.
The band will also share their experiences as volunteers in Haiti and encourage students to get involved in ongoing relief efforts following the devastating earthquake there in 2010.
The band has raised more than $1 million (£625,000) through ticket sales for the earthquake-ravaged country, where Chassagne was born.
