'The Reflektor Tapes' hits cinemas on September 24

A clip of Arcade Fire performing unreleased song ‘Get Right’, taken from their film The Reflektor Tapes, has been revealed online.

The project, directed by Kahlil Joseph (who has worked with Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar in the past), follows the band as they write, record and tour in support of 2013 album ‘Reflektor’. The Reflektor Tapes will hit cinemas worldwide on September 24.

In a trailer for the film, Win Butler of the band compares music to “being led by a spirit” while Régine Chassagne says that Arcade Fire’s “inclination is to tell stories”. The trailer is filled with live clips from the band’s ‘Reflektor’ world tour, including arena gigs and smaller dates in the US and Haiti.

The film has been described in a press release as “a unique cinematic experience, meeting at the crossroads of documentary, music, art and personal history”. It will feature the group touring around the world and visiting the Caribbean country of Haiti.
